Perhaps you are like a lot of people I have talked to since being asked to become the executive director of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC) (Now: ACBC: Association of Certified Biblical Counselors). I’ve heard stories of people who have friends, relatives, and acquaintances with terrible things to say about NANC counselors. I want to explain to you why I agreed to lead an organization with some counselors that, apparently, have such a terrible reputation.
