A Word from Your BCC Team: On weekends, we love to use our BCC “megaphone” to highlight BC equipping opportunities. This weekend we highlight the 2015 ACBC National Conference: Homosexuality: Compassion, Care, and Counsel for Struggling People. This year’s ACBC conference is October 5-7, 2015, in Louisville, Kentucky, at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Compassionate Care for Lasting Change

To learn more about the 2015 ACBC National Conference: Homosexuality: Compassion, Care, and Counsel for Struggling People you can view a brief video introduction by Heath Lambert here.

The ACBC introduces the conference with these words:

“The Christian community cannot only be known as the people who understand that homosexuality is wrong. It is a matter of urgent concern that we also be known as the people who move towards people struggling with homosexuality with the love, grace, power, and hope of Jesus Christ and walk with them through the door to real and lasting change.”

Pre-Conference

The ACBC is also hosting a pre-conference, Transgender: Transgender Confusion and Transformational Christianity.

ACBC introduces the pre-conference with these words:

“Our culture is flooded with transgender confusion. The Christian Gospel speaks into this confusion with revolutionary clarity. God sovereignly assigns a gender to people created in his image. The powerful grace of Jesus Christ redeems and restores to sanity our thinking corrupted by sin. The church must speak with biblical conviction into this chaos with the clarity and love of Christ.”
