Many people are bitter about what has happened to them in the past. Naomi, after losing her husband and her sons in Moab, was ready to change her name from pleasant to bitter (Mara). She was even embittered against the Lord. How does one counsel a Naomi? One might begin by identifying the lies she is telling herself and gently offering her biblical answers. This talk will include a case study of a male version of Naomi.
