The Biblical Counseling Coalition is excited to promote several important biblical counseling equipping events presented this summer by The Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD).

Equipping Opportunity # 1: The Basics  of Biblical Counseling

Basics of Biblical Counseling

  • Description: Come join Dr. Jim Newheiser as he interactively teaches The Basics of Biblical Counseling Course. This includes an overview of the basic principles of biblically consistent counseling as well as instruction on how to apply those principles to typical problems such as depression, fear, worry, and anger. The distinctions between psychotherapy, Christian psychology, and biblical counseling will also be discussed. Additional materials will be provided to fulfill the 30-hour NANC certification requirement.

  • Description: So many of us struggle with our identity…We wonder, Who am I? What does my Christianity tell me about myself and how that truth impacts the way I live my life? Join Elyse and her daughter Jessica for three hours as they unpack what the Bible says about who we are in Christ and what that identity means about how we should live.

  • Description: We all want to change and know that change is part of the Christian life, but how often do we really think through all of the ways that God is graciously at work bringing about sanctification in our lives? During this conference, we are going to give thought to this topic and be encouraged by the many ways God is at work in us and through us. We will also have 21 workshops which provide specific ways to apply this to particular counseling topics. This conference is geared towards individual edification as well as continued growth in biblical counseling skills.

    experts. This UN-MANNED vehicle will be put into competition with more than
    hundred other concept vehicles and will be tried and tested under the lunar
    climatic and geological conditions. If selected the model will be sent to moon
    to assist the scientists in their experiments.
